Sponsored Walk Update

On Saturday 6th November, myself and 12 other people walked 12 miles along the Kennet and Avon canal from Hungerford to Newbury. The weather was forcast to be good, and apart from a slight bit of drizzle in the afternoon, it was good. We met up at school, and got ready, collecting our packed lunches and putting on jumpers and walking boots. After a brief safety talk, and a photograph, we got into the school minibus to be driven to Hungerford.(in all photos I'm the one wearing the White Tiger T-shirt)

Raring to go

We arrived at the start point at about 10:10 GMT, and after another photograph, we set off at a fair pace.

At the Start

It took us an hour and twenty minutes to reach the lunch stop.

We stopped and had our lunch, and then the three people who were only going half-way left us and returned to school by car.

Stopped for lunch.

We posed for another photo, before the three leavers left.

We continued to walk, through lots of beautiful scenery, and the odd patch of drizzle, arriving at the finsih point at about 15:45 GMT (3:45 PM), tired but happy.

At the finish point.

We had a great time on this walk, and I would like to thank everyone who came on the walk, the kitchen staff at school, the carestaff and everyone who sponsored me.
